About LOOK to Ohio

LOOK (Leadership Opportunities for Organizational Knowledge) is a place-based teen leadership program developed to meet the demand to prepare youth for the workforce and leadership roles today and into the future. There are three components to the LOOK program, place-based education, a leadership course, and service learning. LOOK encompasses the motto “preparing tomorrows leaders today” and utilizes multiple Extension youth development programs for teens and young adults to accomplish the motto.

Multiple Options

The primary, LOOK to Ohio classic, nine- month program is taught one day per month at sites throughout a county.

The second, LOOK Summer Experience, a five to ten day work readiness and leadership program, partners with Job & Family Services to address TANIFF youth summer needs.

The third, LOOK In-School Pilot program, can collaborate with local high schools throughout the county to provide students with on-site work readiness and leadership training via the Flex Credit option.
