The 4-H program in Clermont County offers a variety of engaging programming options for K–12 educators and youth. Our programs are built around experiential learning, with an emphasis on hands-on, interactive activities that enhance student engagement and understanding.

Clermont County offers many 4-H programs including:

Cloverbud Program - Cloverbud programs for youth ages 5–8 offer hands-on, age-appropriate activities that spark curiosity and creativity. Topics include STEM, communications and expressive arts, healthy living, environmental science, personal development, citizenship, consumer and family science, and the study of plants and animals.

Shooting Sports Program - The county has a club focused on shooting sports: archery, muzzle loading, hunting & wildlife, pistol, rifle, shotgun and living history.

Traffic Safety - Build safe driving habits and smart decision-making with 4-H CARTEENS and our traffic safety programs. We offer fun, engaging classes and assemblies—like mock crashes and seat belt checks—that help keep youth and communities safe.

Dog Activity Program - 4-H offers many different dog projects. Youth can participate in clinics and show events where they can learn from qualified instructors about obedience, showmanship and general dog care.

Chickquest - This classroom enrichment program introduces students to the life cycle of an embryonic chicken egg through hands-on, science-based learning. Students observe and monitor the eggs as scientists throughout the incubation and hatching process, while teachers lead instruction and 4-H staff provide the curriculum and necessary supplies.

Growing Teachers Throughout the Seasons - Get growing in the classroom with this award-winning curriculum designed for Pre-K–12 educators, featuring a different harvest each month from September through May. Students engage in hands-on learning by planning, planting, harvesting, and tasting their produce, with integrated connections to core subjects like science, math, language arts, technology, and the arts.

Leadership and Personal Development - These engaging lessons help youth understand themselves as leaders and how to apply leadership skills in everyday life. Participants build confidence while learning the value of teamwork, goal setting, and effective decision-making.

REAL MONEY. REAL WORLD. - RMRW is a youth financial literacy program from Ohio State University Extension, designed primarily for ages 13–16. The program features four classroom lessons and an engaging, hands-on simulation where participants make real-life budgeting and lifestyle decisions of an adult.
