Our Clermont County 4-H members once again demonstrated the dedication, leadership, creativity, and hard work that make 4-H so special. From natural resources and livestock projects to communications and creative arts, our youth proudly represented Clermont County on one of the biggest stages in Ohio.

We are excited to congratulate all Clermont County 4-H youth who competed at the 2026 Ohio State Fair. Their success reflects countless hours of learning, practicing, and developing skills through their 4-H experiences.

Natural Resources Day

  • Luke Amann (New Richmond 4-H'ers Club) earned Outstanding of the Day and a Clock Trophy for his Edible Landscapes project.

 

  • Rachael Stroup (Creative Minds 4-H Club) received Outstanding of the Day honors for her Be a Sustainability Hero project.
  • Kayleigh Dannaher (Wonders of the World 4-H Club) earned Outstanding of the Day for her Beekeeping project in the Junior Division.

Leadership Day

  • Lizzie Derflinger (Maple Rey Milk & More 4-H Club) was named Outstanding of the Day for her Leadership Road Trip project.

Physical Health Day

  • Asher Montes (Creative Minds 4-H Club) earned Outstanding of the Day for his Tracking Your Health & Fitness project.

Mental Health Day

  • Abigail Gabbard (Empower Youth 4-H Club) received Outstanding of the Day recognition for her Relationship 101 project in the Senior Division.

Creative Arts Day

  • Camryn Hall (Maple Rey Milk & More 4-H Club) earned Outstanding of the Day and a Clock Trophy for her Get Started in Art project in the Senior Division.

Companion Animal Day

  • Vada Bell (Heritage Builders 4-H Club) was recognized as Outstanding of the Day for her Pet Rabbit project in the Age 8-10 Division.

Communications Day

  • Ellinor Evans (Young Riders 4-H Club) earned Outstanding of the Day and a Clock Trophy for her Illustrated Talk in the Senior Division.

  • Winnie Hums (Maple Rey Milk & More 4-H Club) also received Outstanding of the Day honors for her Illustrated Talk in the Senior Division.

Clothing Days

  • Loki Bain (Ruff 'n' Stuff 4-H Club) was recognized as Outstanding of the Day and a Clock Trophy for his Creative Costumes project.

Family Life Day

  • Violet Hums (Maple Rey Milk & More 4-H Club) was recognized as Outstanding of the Day for her Family History Treasure Hunt project in the Year 2 Division.

Workforce Day

  • Lizzie Derflinger (Maple Rey Milk & More 4-H Club) was recognized as Outstanding of the Day and a Clock Trophy for her Am I Ready to Work project in the Senior Division.

Shooting Sports Day

  • Sam Queen (Clermont County Shooting Sports 4-H Club) was recognized as Outstanding of the Day and a Clock Trophy for his Pistol project in the Senior Division.

  • Lawrence Burger (Heritage Builders 4-H Club) was recognized as Outstanding of the Day for his Safe Use of Guns project in the Junior Division.

 

Equine

  • Clara Rentz (Young Riders 4-H Club) won Reserve Champion in Hunter Under Saddle Championship with her horse I've Been Expecting U (Ben).

Beef Cattle

  • Wyatt Wolfer (Buckles & Boots 4-H Club) placed 1st in age 17 Beef showmanship and won Grand Champion Market Steer in Divison 5 Crossbred Market Steers.

Poultry

  • Pierce Derflinger (Maple Rey Milk & More 4-H Club) placed 2nd in Poultry Skillathon and Showmanship, and Reserve Best of Breed Langshan.

Swine

  • Piper Standring (Select 4-H'ers Club) placed 7th in Swine showmanship class and 7th place with her Breeding Gilt.

Rabbit

  • Violet Hums (Maple Rey Milk & More 4-H Club) placed 5th in Rabbit Skillathon in the 13 Year old Division.

  • Harry Hums (Maple Rey Milk & More 4-H Club) placed 4th Overall in the Rabbit Costume Contest and 3rd in Rabbit Skillathon in the 8/9 Year old Division.

  • Winnie Hums (Maple Rey Milk & More 4-H Club) placed 6th in Rabbit Skillathon in the 16 Year old Division.

Ohio State Fair Participants

  • Pierce Derflinger-King & Winnie Hums-Queen (both members of Maple Rey Milk & More 4-H Club) attended the Ohio State Fair as Clermont County Junior Fair Royalty.

  • Betty Haynes (Buzzing Enthusiasts 4-H Club) competed with her Clothing Project.

  • Andie Stanley (Wonders of the World 4-H Club) competed with her Clothing Project.

  • Makenna Bland (Trails & Tails 4-H Club) competed with her Superhero You Project.

  • Wyatt Haynes (Buzzing Enthusiasts 4-H Club) competed with his Muskrat Project.
  • Wyatt Haynes (Buzzing Enthusiasts 4-H Club) competed with his Woodworking Project.
  • Violet Hums (Maple Rey Milk & More 4-H Club) competed with her You Can Quilt, Rockets Away, and How does your Garden Grow project.
  • Winnie Hums (Maple Rey Milk & More 4-H Club) competed with her The Writer in You and was also a member of the Ohio State Fashion Board where she assisted with State Fair Clothing judging.
  • Christopher Gabbard (Empower Youth 4-H Club), Benjamin Gabbard (Empower Youth 4-H Club), and Melody Harp (Ruff 'n Stuff 4-H Club) competed in The Ohio 4-H Food Challenge in the Team Division.

These accomplishments are a testament to the dedication of our 4-H youth, families, volunteers, and advisors who support learning and growth year-round. Whether presenting a project, demonstrating leadership skills, exploring the natural world, or sharing their creativity, Clermont County 4-H members continue to make us proud.
