Attention Returning & Potential New Volunteers

November is the kickoff to the 2025-2026 4-H Program Year, and the first opportunities to attend your yearly Volunteer Training!

ALL new and returning volunteers are required to attend ONE training opportunity. Listed below are the opportunities for new and returning volunteers to meet their training requirements.

2026 Volunteer Training Registration

Returning Volunteer Trainings

Topics will include: Educational Design & Delivery, Activities & Programming with Minors Participants, and State/County Updates

  • Tuesday, November 11 @10:00 a.m. via Zoom
  • Tuesday, November 11 @2:00 p.m. via Zoom
  • Thursday, November 20 @6:30 p.m. in the 4-H Hall (New Volunteer Orientation)
  • Wednesday, March 25 @6:30 p.m. in the 4-H Hall, Clermont County Fairgrounds
  • Wednesday, April 1 @6:30 p.m. in the 4-H Hall (New Volunteer Orientation)

*Note, Returning Volunteers have the option to attend a “New Volunteer Training” if needed. They will be dismissed prior to new volunteer specific items being presented. 

New Volunteer Orientation

Topics will include: About 4-H, Volunteerism, Club Management, Working with Youth, and Risk Management

  • Thursday, November 20 @6:30 p.m. in the 4-H Hall, Clermont County Fairgrounds
    • Individuals intending to fill out an application are encouraged to sign up for this session. Applications will be available at this training!
  • Wednesday, April 1 @6:30 p.m. in the 4-H Hall, Clermont County Fairgrounds
    • Only those with a submitted application will be permitted to attend this training. Applications open November 3!

New Volunteer Application will be open from November 3 to February 15!

The New Volunteer Application is now open!

Every year we recruit new volunteers to continue the work of leading youth in our community. Volunteers lead by serving as advisors, project leaders, helping facilitate club & county events, and most importantly serve as positive adult role models.

The New Volunteer Process includes (in order):

  • Read volunteer position description (Program Volunteer Position Description)
  • Complete application (New Volunteer Application)
  • Include three references (names & info submitted through application)
  • Personal interview w/4-H Professional (You’ll be contacted by extension office)
  • Sign Standards of Behavior
  • Register and enroll on 4-H Online
  • Complete BCI fingerprint background check
  • Attend New Volunteer Training
    • November 20, 2025 @6:30pm in the 4-H Hall on the Clermont County Fairgrounds
    • April 1, 2026 @6:30pm in the 4-H Hall on the Clermont County Fairgrounds.
    • Registration

Background Checks MUST BE COMPLETED by FEB. 15! Background checks can take up to 60 days to process.

Don’t wait, apply today! Applications must be submitted by February 15.
