    Ohio State University Extension Clermont County will host three Dining with Diabetes (DWD) workshops in 2015. DWD is a three-class health workshop. All workshops will be held at the Clermont County Fairgrounds 4-H Hall, 1000 Locust Street, Owensville. DWD is a program conducted by Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) staff and community health partners. The program helps individuals learn strategies to manage their diabetes through menu planning, carbohydrate counting, portion control, label reading and recipe modification.

    Clermont has a late deadline each year for 4-H enrollment forms, March 15. Please note in 2015, March 15 falls on a Sunday so forms will be accepted through 4:00 p.m. on March 16. With the late enrollment form, a $5 registration fee is due (payable by check or cash). Please make checks payable to OSU Extension Clermont.

    The 2015 Ohio 4-H Conference will take place at the Greater Columbus Convention Center on Saturday, March 14, 2015. This event is designed to bring together 4-H volunteers and teens from across the State of Ohio. The objective of this event is to learn together and from each other in order to improve our abilities to deliver the Ohio 4-H Program to its members. We truly believe that these educational selections offer something for everyone, and have the ability to satisfy every taste and need.

    New this year!  All first year horse members will be required to attend an Assuring Quality Care for Equine training.  Members will view both mandatory horse safety videos, participate in activity stations and sign the mandatory permission to participate and safety and ethics forms.  Any 4-H member taking an equine project for the first year must attend one of the trainings listed below.  This training is open to any 4-H or FFA member registered with an equine project/SAE.
