Get ready for one of the most meaningful and Fun events during Fair Week....A Day in the Ring is coming up on Wednesday, July 28th in the Gibbons Arena!!!
This event, held in partnership with the Clermont County Board of Developmental Disabilities, give individuals with special nees the chance to experience what it's like to show an animal at the County Fair. Participants will learn about animal care and showmanship with the help of YOU!!!
We need You!!
We are looking for enthusiastic 4-H and FFA members to help as:
Mentors - Work one-on-one with a participant to teach them about your animal (rabbit, duck, chicken, goat, sheep, or cow) and how to exhibit it. You'll will have about 30 minuntes toprepare together before showtime.
Event Helpers - Not ready to mentor? No problem, sign up to help by taking photos, leading groups, assisting with registration. We will find a job for you!!!
What to Know
Dress Code: closed toe shoes and "show appropriate" attire (jeans and boots recommended)
Weather: Rain or shine (yes, we know it's always hot during Fair week)
Perk: Mentors receive an event shirt to wear during the event.
