4-H Dog Show Registration Due!!!!!

Registration for the Clermont County 4-H Dog Show is due June 30th. Please email registrations to Carlie Newman.990@osu.edu or turn into the extension office. All dog exhibitors must register in order to participate in the show.

Reminder, exhibitors are only allowed to sign up for classes that align with the project(s) they are currently enrolled in. See project eligibility below. 2025 Rules – General 4-H Rules final.pdf

  • You and Your Dog, Project No. 201D – to show in You and Your Dog classes
  •  Obedience, Project No. 201O – to show in Beginner Novice, Pre-Novice, Novice, Graduate
    Novice, Open, Graduate Open, Utility, and Rally classes
  •  Showmanship, Project No. 201S – to show in Showmanship classes
  • 4-H members can be enrolled in any 4-H Dog Project to participate in the Poster Contest

New this year we will be offering all levels of Trick Dog, as well as, a Canine Good Citizen class.

Exhibitors planning to show in Trick Dog and Canine Good Citizen should bring their AKC participation number, so proper title paperwork can be filled out following the conclusion of the show.

Trick Dog Reminders:

  • Previous titles must be obtained before moving onto the next level up.
  • Exhibitors are responsible for bringing props needed for tricks.
  • Tricks needs to be practiced BEFORE exhibiting at the show.

Dog Show Information

The 4-H Dog Show will be July 12th in the 4-H Hall on the fairgrounds. Check-in with be from 9:00am-9:30am.

This year we will be completing pre-checks at 9:30am. The purpose of pre-checks is to allow the judge to evaluate the health and temperament of the animals prior to being in the show. We have the safety of exhibitors and their animals in mind, always, and this is just an extra step of precaution!

Dog Skillathon

Dog Skillathon will take place July 13th, with the other skillathons. Please lookout for more details on skillathon!
